SOMA RAZA EPK26
Soma Raza presents "El Brebaje", the lead single from their highly anticipated new albumTheir new single, set to release globally on September 4, 2026, is the first preview of their upcoming fourth studio album, arriving late this year. This song encapsulates the profound satisfaction and spiritual liberation found when drinking the nectar of the gods (the SOMA): a powerful invitation to forget sorrow and embrace limitless freedom and joy.

Soma Raza is a Venezuelan band based in Barcelona since 1999 — including a French bassist who adds a unique European touch and sound to the group. A faithful representative of the mestizo music scene, a movement that defined the city's sonic identity following Mano Negra's explosion in the late nineties, this movement resurges today with global force thanks to its positive message and deeply human sound. Soma Raza stamps its signature mark on this genre: an energetic ska-punk infused with Jamaican sounds and Latin Venezuelan flavor.
For “El Brebaje”, the band has boldly explored more contemporary sounds, drawing elements from Reggae, Amazonian Cumbia, and classic Dancehall from Jamaica and Panama, while maintaining its punk essence and distorted drive — a direct heritage from The Clash.
Formed in Caracas (Venezuela) in the post-Mano Negra era, Soma Raza forged a distinctive sonic identity on stage in the late '90s and early 2000s, boldly fusing Ska, Punk, and Latin Rock. Their music is a unique “brew”, infused with exotic Afro-Caribbean roots, creating a global sonic experience.Over their extensive career, Soma Raza has shared the stage with global icons such as Ozomatli, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, The Wailers, Fermin Muguruza, and Desorden Público, among many others.Their deep connections within the international independent circuit are further highlighted by shared members with Manu Chao and Radio Bemba, such as bassist Gambeat and trombonist Gianny Salazar (former member of Soma Raza). With more than 500 concerts, show after show they have proven to their audience that they are an epic guarantee of emotions, energy, and celebration on stage. Soma Raza continues to build and expand its audience, bringing its musical fiesta to every corner of the planet.
